What is Ovarian Cancer?

The ovaries are what is needed to make babies. They are two small organs that store the eggs. Ovarian cancer is when abnormal cells in the ovary start to grow in an uncontrollable way. This then forms a tumour if this is not caught early and can spread to other areas of the body. It can affect women of any age and can run in families. Around 7,400 women in the UK are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year.ÌýÌý
